Have You Tried it Yet? ...

The Garra Rufa fish.
(Sometimes called 'doctor' or 'nibble' fish.)
You put your feet in to the water and they rush to nibble at all the nasty bits on your feet.
Excruciating at first, if, like me, you have very ticklish feet.
But after a while you get used to it and just let them feast!
After 15 or 30 mins you feet are baby soft.
Just massage them with some sweet smelling emollient and you are done.
~
("The Garra Rufa fish exfoliation is said to stimulate blood flow and improve circulation, remove bacteria and reduce foot odour and help prevent athlete's foot. Feet will be smoother and softer after treatment. It's also said the fish can stimulate acupuncture points, helping to regulate the nervous system, relax the body and release fatigue." - How can you not have a go!)
~
My treat to myself today after having my hair cut.
Well worth it.
Give it a try.

Funnily enough I had a go at the weekend and like you found it extremely odd to begin with. My friend and I were very loud I can tell you. Got used to it after a bit bit don't think I'll go again. A good laugh tho.

My Mum and Aunt have been threatening to have this treatment in their local shoping mall. I don't like fish, lizards or snakes, so I think I might go all phobic LOL

How funny, I was just talking about this today ! I would give it a try but I heard some poeple got infections ( I really really hope you don't ! ) Looks fun though. I bet I'd giggle my head off like at the chiropractor's - though I'm in pain, I can't stop giggling !!!

I saw a very similar post from another blogger this week! This does appeal to me a little, but I hate the idea of other people's feet being in the water before mine and I heard from someone who has tried it that the end result didn't last any longer than the usual scrubbing and pumice/foot file job - how long did you feet stay soft?!

My hubby tried it in his lunch hour and he swears by it. I have a phobia of fish though so I'd probably pass out.

Hi Louise. I had my feet nibbled at about 12.30 today and they are still soft now at 8.30 pm. I will probably have another go though. Incidentally, their water is recycling constantly in the salon I used, so I would hope there would be no infections around. Ann x
